Croeso i'r dydd wyth!

Welcome to Day 8 of Gŵyl, a festival in translation!

Today we're talking to two women who both happened to grow up in Bridgend, South Wales. The first is my Mum, who has been a GP for 25 years, she talks about translating in the consulting room.

Second, I talk to Georgia Winstone, whose academic interests are in studying Welsh women's writing. We talk about her work, her favourite books written by Welsh women and complexities of what it means to be Welsh, and to acknowledge Wales' role in the British Empire.

The third Welsh woman of the day is me, with a couple of readings from the Japanese book Territory of Light!
