Welcome to Day 2 of Gŵyl, a festival in translation! 

Today we have talks from Maddie Rogers of Peirene Press, and Robin Myers, poet and translator. 

Maddie and I talked about Peirene, how The Borderless Book Club started and our thoughts on what we've enjoyed so far. 
Robin covered a multitude of topics from poetry in translation, the US translation market and her two most recent books.

Eleanor Cowell, artist-in-residence, created the work attached below based on Robin Myers' talk "I was thinking a lot about the nice lady from Mexico (Robin Myers) and the ways of translating poetry and prose". She also did this series of drawings I attached which remind me of the feeling of looking at a language and not knowing what it is, shapes in translation if you like.
